About Halal Bites
Our Story
My journey to making fresh, organic, healthy snacks and food started with my struggle in finding fresh, healthy, preservatives free, refined sugar and refined carbs free snacks for my family. The list of what I did not want my family to eat was long and I never was sure if the snack was 100% HALAL. To add to all the harms of store bought snacks, you do not know how long the granola bars and other so called "healthy" snacks have been sitting on shelf. Eating food that is freshly made in small batches specifically for you not only fills your stomach but provides 100% nourishment to your body and soul.
Another thing that bothers me with store bought snacks is the plastic pollution that comes with it. I had a guilt feeling every time I ate something labeled as healthy but threw that granola bar or snack plastic wrapper.
I strongly believe that healthy and environmental conscious lifestyle are tightly connected. Anything we buy has an impact on planet Earth. At Halal Bites, we strive to make that impact positive. We not only try to promote healthy eating but also try to package products in environmentally responsible manner.
